On 6 February 2026, Belek Usenbekov, Deputy Head of the International Secretariat of the World Nomad Games, held a working meeting with Leonid Spiridonov, Minister of Physical Culture and Sports of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia).

During the meeting, the parties discussed cooperation in the fields of traditional sports and cultural heritage. The Secretariat also congratulated the Russian side on the inclusion of the national wrestling style “Khapsagai” in the main sports program of the upcoming VI World Nomad Games.

The Secretariat also noted that the sport of “Mas-Wrestling” was included in the sports program of the World Nomad Games held in the Kyrgyz Republic in 2016, 2018, and 2026, in the Republic of Turkey in 2022, and in the Republic of Kazakhstan in 2024.
