In 2022, the World Nomad Games were held outside Kyrgyzstan for the first time, taking place in the ancient Turkish city of Iznik.
This historic event marked a new stage in the development of the project: the geography of participants expanded, media attention increased, and interest from new countries grew.
Turkey not only organized the Games successfully, but also became a strong symbol of unity for nomadic peoples around the world.
The participation of delegations from 102 countries confirmed the status of the Games as an important international platform. The World Nomad Games 2022 clearly showed that the heritage of nomadic civilizations remains relevant and valued in today’s globalized world.

The next Games will be held in Kazakhstan.
The 2022 Games in Turkey became an important turning point: for the first time, the event was held outside Kyrgyzstan. At the closing ceremony, a symbolic kookor (water vessel) was handed over to Kazakhstan — the new host country for the World Nomad Games 2024.
