More than 1,200 participants from 62 countries
26 ethnosport disciplines, cultural and scientific program
The format received strong international recognition. In 2016, delegations from 62 countries took part — three times more than at the first Games. Number of ethnosport disciplines increased to 26and the attention of the media and international organizations increased.
The Games became a step from an idea to a stable institution. The project gained strategic importance in the cultural diplomacy of Kyrgyzstan and the region.

The Second World Nomad Games were attended by 62 foreign countries17 of them presented cultural programs; sports delegations were represented by 62 countries and 1200 participants (coaches and athletes).
In 2016, compared to the first Games, the number of national sports competitions increased. Representatives from different countries competed in 23 sports disciplines.
The total prize fund for sports was 28.4 million soms.
The 2016 Games created a strong base for the future expansion of the project. They showed that the World Nomad Games can become a global international platform. As interest from other countries grew, talks began about holding the Games in other countries. Later, the Games were held in Turkey and Kazakhstan.
