The author of the World Nomad Games project transferred the rights to the project to the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic.

On December 9, 2025, the author and initiator of the World Nomad Games project, Mr. Askhat Akibaev, officially transferred the intellectual property rights to the project to the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic.
Project History
The idea of the World Nomad Games was developed by Mr. Askhat Akibaev in 2008 and registered with the Patent Service of the Kyrgyz Republic in 2011, after which it was recognized as his intellectual property. For many years, the author played a key methodological, organizational and conceptual role in the preparation and organization of the I, II and III World Nomad Games, and also contributed to the work of the Secretariat.
Objectives of the Decision
The transfer of intellectual property rights is intended to:
- strengthening the leading role of the state in the management and development of the project;
- ensuring institutional sustainability and the long-term development of the WNG;
- strengthening Kyrgyzstan’s position in the international arena and expanding the project’s global recognition;
- preserving the WNG at the state level and ensuring the transfer of the project to future generations as part of cultural heritage.
Author’s Statement
In transferring the rights, Mr. Askhat Akibaev expressed confidence that the World Nomad Games will continue to develop as a national brand of the Kyrgyz Republic and as a unique international platform presenting the heritage of nomadic civilization to the world.
