Mounted Traditional Archery is a traditional equestrian sport that reflects the martial skills of nomadic peoples. The rider must control the horse at speed while simultaneously aiming and accurately hitting targets using a traditional bow.
The run is performed along a specially prepared track, along which the targets are placed. The athlete must shoot while the horse is in motion, without stopping it.
Hungarian/Magyar Style - Competition Rules:
The length of the equestrian track is 99 meters. Time limit: 20 seconds.
Three circular targets (90 cm in diameter) are placed on a tower in the center of the track, at a height of 2 meters, positioned 9 meters from the edge of the track.
