Kokpar is a traditional team equestrian sport from the Republic of Kazakhstan. The game has ancient roots and reflects the nomadic way of life, embodying strength, agility, courage, and exceptional horsemanship. It requires high physical endurance, strong teamwork, and precise control of the horse.

The game consists of two halves of 20 minutes each. There is a 10-minute break between the halves. After the break, the teams switch sides (playing directions).

Victory is awarded to the team that throws the greater number of serke (dummy carcasses) into its designated scoring circle (finish area). The weight of the serke (dummy) must not exceed 30–33 kg.
