VI WNG: Kyrgyzstan Takes the Baton

Following the V World Nomad Games, the Republic of Kazakhstan officially handed over the baton to the Kyrgyz Republic. The VI World Nomad Games will take place in Kyrgyzstan in September 2026.

The Games are organized by the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic. An Organizing Committee has been established to oversee the preparation and delivery of the Games, while the functions of the Secretariat are carried out by the Public Association “International Secretariat of the World Nomad Games.”

Participation Regulations

The main document governing the participation of national delegations is the Regulations of the VI World Nomad Games. It outlines the terms and conditions of participation and is distributed to participating countries through the official diplomatic channels of the Kyrgyz Republic, serving as the official invitation to take part.

Three Key Program Areas: Sport, Culture, and Science

The World Nomad Games program is traditionally structured around three key areas.

Sports Program brings together ethnosport disciplines, traditional games, and competitions of peoples from around the world. Detailed rules and competition formats are published on the official resources of the Games.

Cultural Program includes large-scale festival formats and the ethno-village — a key venue where the country’s regions showcase living culture: crafts, music, dance, traditions, rituals, and national cuisine.

Science Program also includes an international scientific and practical conference held during the Games, aimed at fostering professional dialogue on cultural heritage, traditional practices, and the role of ethnosport in the modern world.
