Ashyrtmaly Aba Gureshi is one of the traditional forms of Turkish güreş wrestling. It involves free grips on the opponent’s clothing and body. The technique is rich in a variety of moves, including leg attacks, throws using grips on the belt and wrestling jacket, or combinations such as one leg and the belt. Matches are traditionally held with live musical accompaniment, performed on folk instruments such as the drum (davul) and the wind instrument (zurna).
