Tug of War is a strength-based team sport contested between two opposing groups. It is a traditional game practiced by many cultures around the world and has long been featured at folk festivals, celebrations, and community gatherings.
Athletes competing in Tug of War must possess a high level of overall strength, muscular endurance, explosive power, coordination, rhythm, timing, psychological resilience, and the ability to maintain intense focus and motivation throughout the contest.
Each team consists of eight participants. The objective is to pull the rope a specified distance in one's direction or force the opposing team to commit a rule violation. To win the match, a team must successfully pull the rope to its side twice.
