Descriptions of wrestling contests in which two champions test their strength and compete in agility and endurance can be found in ancient books and epics of numerous nations. Owing to its simplicity and visual appeal, belt wrestling has been preserved in its original form to this day as an integral part of the traditional culture of ethnic groups and peoples worldwide.

The rules of the Great Wrestling of Nomads are intentionally simple, with referee intervention kept to a minimum. Historically, the discipline was governed by a single principle: victory was achieved by throwing the opponent to the ground, with no points or scores taken into account. This approach ensures fair and uncompromised bouts and allows for the identification of a single, absolute winner.
The Great Wrestling of Nomads is contested without weight divisions (absolute weight category). In ancient times, weighing scales did not exist, and such contests were typically dominated by the greatest champions. Only one absolute winner was recognized, without second, third, or other placements, reflecting the guiding principle of the discipline: “There is one great victor; all others are equal (the defeated).”

Only the winners of other wrestling disciplines are eligible to compete in the Great Wrestling of Nomads, representing their people, their country, and their respective martial arts.

The Great Nomad Wrestling is founded on the following principles: the bout is conducted with a grip on the opponent’s belt; any actions consistent with the high moral code of the warriors are permitted; and any throw results in victory.
The rules of the Great Nomad Wrestling, the types of techniques allowed, and the procedures for determining the winner were derived from the traditional wrestling rules of Azerbaijani, Iranian, Turkish, Kazakh, Kyrgyz, Uzbek, Russian, Turkmen, Mongolian, Tatar, Japanese, and other ethnic groups and peoples around the world.

The winner of the Great Wrestling of Nomads is proclaimed the Great Wrestler.
His name is inscribed in golden letters in a stylized ancient book of the Great Victors of the World Nomad Games.

All procedures of the Great Nomad Wrestling fully correspond to the traditions and culture of nomadic peoples, and the competition is conducted in the same format as it was centuries ago.
In those distant times, when two rival peoples encountered one another, the outcome of a battle was, in certain cases, decided not through large-scale warfare with heavy losses, but through a duel between giant wrestlers representing each side. Each wrestler entered the arena wearing traditional national attire and greeted the opponent as a sign of respect for the rival people.
Folk akyns (improvisational poets), inspiring martial spirit, then praised their warrior-wrestler, celebrating his feats through songs, dances, and epic tales.

Великая борьба кочевников – объединенная поясная борьба кочевников. Борьба на поясах – один из древнейших видов борьбы. Она присутствует в культуре многих народов мира. Описания борцовских состязаний, когда два богатыря […]

[140
151
post-2195","sport","type-sport","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","sport-category-national-wrestling-styles","sport-tags-151
["GET
