Alysh<\/strong><\/p>

Alysh is a traditional Kyrgyz belt wrestling style characterized by a fixed grip on the belt. It includes two divisions: freestyle, where leg techniques are allowed, and classic style, where the use of leg techniques is prohibited.<\/p>

The history of Alysh belt wrestling dates back to ancient times. It is one of the oldest traditional sports of the Kyrgyz people.<\/p>

Wrestlers wear special shirts in blue or green, white trousers, and a red belt. In the starting position, the athlete\u2019s head rests on the opponent\u2019s shoulder while closely observing the opponent\u2019s leg movements from beneath their arms. The wrestlers grip each other\u2019s belts, bending forward at the waist, with the right arm under the opponent\u2019s arm and the left arm over the opponent\u2019s right arm. The bout takes place only in a standing position.
